It is with great joy that we celebrate the second anniversary of the Himalayan-Tibetan Thangka class with Sonam Rinzin. We have experienced a year of wonderful growth, both in the deepening of our knowledge of Thangka arts and in learning the precious skills to practice it.

This past year, Sonam has skillfully introduced our second-year students to the complexities of drawing and painting deities. Although the paintings look simple and calming, the path of achieving such an effect is intricate.
